Jaclyn Simpson Named Varsity Girls Soccer Coach

Lyndon Institute Director of Athletics and Activities Eric Berry has announced the hiring of Jaclyn Simpson, LI Class of ‘05, as the school’s new girls’ varsity soccer coach.

“We are very happy to have Jackie running the girls’ soccer program,” Berry said. “Jackie has coached soccer at many levels in the Northeast Kingdom.  She has a special ability to relate to student-athletes and reflects the mission of LI’s Core Values,” Berry added.

Coach Simpson will be meeting with all current and incoming soccer players during the upcoming weeks and will also be available at LI’s Open House on Wednesday, June 2nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m..

“Lyndon Institute is excited to have Jackie Simpson join our Athletic Department as the new girls’ soccer coach. We look forward to seeing Jackie work with our student athletes and help them develop both on the soccer pitch and in the greater community,” said Mike Lowe, Assistant Head for Advancement.

“I am very honored to be given the opportunity to step into this role as a coach for Lyndon Institute.  Both coaching and playing soccer has been a passion of mine for many years, and I look forward to learning, leading, and participating in our season alongside our resilient Lady Vikes. I began my soccer career here at LI and was led by coaches that I still respect today. I would like to lead by example as they did and embrace the challenge of elevating the program,” said Simpson.

Simpson, lives in Sutton with her husband Brandon, and 4 children.
