COVID Testing

September 30th, 2021

In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and to keep students in school and keep schools operating in person, the AOE is offering surveillance testing for students. Lyndon Institute has signed up through the AOE to offer surveillance testing for both staff and students weekly, likely beginning in the middle of October. In order for students to be a part of this weekly testing, parents must give permission for their student to participate. There are two ways to do this. The first is electronically via this link: https://www.cic-health.com/consent/vt. The second option is to fill out this PDF form and return it to the nurse's office. If you have questions about this process or want more information prior to giving permission, please contact our school nurse, Danielle Meyers (535-3693), or the Director of our Health Department, Don Hunt (535-3761).

On another COVID-related note, we highly encourage our students to get vaccinated. Per the AOE, once our student body hits the 80% vaccination mark, not only will we be allowed to operate the school without masking, but we will also no longer be required to conduct contact tracing if we have a positive case. Please strongly consider getting your student vaccinated if they are not already.
