LI Students to Perform at the District II Music Festival

March 29th, 2022

Lyndon Institute is honored to announce that seventeen musicians were accepted to participate in this year's District II Music Festival sponsored by the Newport Rotary Club. The festival is an auditioned festival that draws musicians from fourteen area schools. Students will perform in the honor chorus and concert band concert on Saturday, April 2 at 4:00 PM at North Country Union High School. Tickets are available at the door. Congratulations to these talented musicians and to all the district festival participants.

ARTS

Lyndon Institute is one of the few high schools in Vermont that offers a complete range of Fine and Performing Arts courses. These include full course loads in each discipline: fine and graphic arts, theater, instrumental and vocal music, and dance. Students can choose from a range of classes in each of the disciplines ranging from introduction to art, photography, AP level art classes, and painting; acting, introduction and techniques in dance, jazz and lyrical ballet, dance history and improvisation/composition to dance company, plus concert and jazz band to chorus and select chorus.
