LI Senior Receives UVM/VTC Farms Scholarship

Lyndon Institute senior, Kameron Gallant, is one of only four students who will begin higher education next year in the University of Vermont/Vermont Technical College Farms Two Plus Two Program. She was honored for the achievement on March 27th at the Vermont State House.

Gallant will study dairy farm management at VTC for two years and then go on to earn an Animal Nutrition Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont. The award covers fifty percent of her tuition while she is enrolled at VTC and covers all tuition costs while enrolled at UVM.

She is a member of the LI Diversified Agriculture program, president of the Viking Future Farmers of America, and has been president for the past two years of The Backwoods Teamsters 4-H Club.  She aspires to fulfill a career as an animal nutritionist.
