Larissa “Cisi” Flynn graduated from Twinfield High School in 1967. After a year at Old Dominion College in Virginia, she returned to Vermont and enrolled at Lyndon State where she met her husband (and fellow trustee) Mike. They married in 1972 following her graduation with a B.A. in History and the Humanities. Mrs. Flynn started her career as an educator at Lyndon Institute in 1974. She taught History and involved herself in many activities on campus, such as coaching girl’s skiing, the Scholars’ Bowl team (including a Vermont State Championship in 1998), advising the Close Up Club and Student Council, and serving as President of the LI Faculty Association for several years. Mrs. Flynn served on three NEASC school evaluation teams and was Co-Chair of LI’s three NEASC evaluations. After retiring from the classroom in 2005, she represented LI’s Admissions Office traveling both in the U.S. and internationally to recruit students and also processing applications in the campus office. She was a Trustee of the Riverside school from 2007 to 2015 and became an LI corporator in 2013. Mrs. Flynn greatly enjoys travel, gardening, artistic painting, and cooking. She catered extensively on Martha’s Vineyard during summers there as well as events in the NEK. Elected as LI Corporator 2010 Current Committee Memberships: |
