Passionate entrepreneur who’s created a number of innovative businesses, Carlson today is making positive changes in Vermont’s rural economies by leveraging his own personal experience as a product development consultant, creative director, developer, and strategist. Carlson has held a variety of jobs during his creative design and development tenure. While working as the Mobile and Emerging Platforms Product Manager at Complex Media, he evaluated and implemented new technology to help build a larger, more engaged audience. Carlson also boasts a variety of titles and positions thus far in his career, serving as a member of Vermont Changemaker’s Table in 2017, in which he helped to drive policy discussion around issues that were of importance to Vermonter. Also serving as a member of the Lyndon Planning Commission, Carlson has worked to revitalize the village center, increase recreational opportunities, and protect the farmland and natural beauty of the area. During that same year, Carlson was appointed to chair of Lyndon’s Economic Development Taskforce. At that time, he was provided with a platform to create strategies that enabled local entrepreneurs to test business ideas and develop plans that implemented technological infrastructure conducive to increased economy opportunity.
