Lyndon Institute is a comprehensive, independent high school providing thoughtful and rigorous preparation for students of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and beyond to reach their intellectual, creative, and physical potential. Start and End dates: August 12, 2024 to approximately November 11, 2024

Requirements

Qualified applicants should possess a BS in Science. An ideal candidate will have teaching experience in Environmental Science and the operation of labs. Experience using Canvas LMS is a plus. Teaching licensure is not required.

It is the responsibility of the Science teacher to:

  • teach three courses per day
  • assess and provide feedback on student work
  • maintain an accurate and up-to-date gradebook
  • set up and coordinate basic lab experiments
  • provide a stimulating learning environment for each student
  • exhibit enthusiasm for the topics being taught
  • collaborate as a team player with teaching colleagues and administrators
  • communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • be an engaged member of the Lyndon Institute community, showing support and involvement in student activities
  • model behavior that reflects Lyndon Institute’s mission statement
